- Accumulator
- A bet that combines multiple selections into one wager, with all selections needing to win for the bet to pay out.
- Asian Handicap
- A handicap given to teams in a match that eliminates the draw outcome and adjusts odds to make both teams equally attractive.
- Bankroll
- The total amount of money set aside for placing bets, separate from everyday finances.
- Bet Builder
- An online tool that lets you create custom bets by combining different outcomes of the same match into a single wager.
- Betting Exchange
- A platform where bettors can back and lay outcomes against each other, acting as a marketplace instead of a traditional bookmaker.
- Both Teams to Score (BTTS)
- A bet on whether both teams will score at least one goal during the match.
- Cash Out
- A feature that lets you settle a bet before the event ends, locking in a profit or reducing a loss based on the current odds.
- Double Chance
- A bet that covers two of the three possible match outcomes (win, draw, or loss) in a single wager.
- Draw No Bet (DNB)
- A bet where you win if your chosen team wins, and you get your stake back if the match ends in a draw.
- Each-Way
- A two-part bet where half the stake is on the selection to win and the other half is on it to place, usually in top finish positions.
- Fixed Odds
- The odds set by the bookmaker at the time of placing the bet, remaining unchanged regardless of later market movements.
- Free Bet
- A promotional token provided by a bookmaker that allows you to place a bet without using your own money, with any winnings usually returned excluding the free stake.
- Handicap Betting
- A type of bet that gives one team a virtual advantage or disadvantage to equalize the chances of winning.
- In-Play
- Betting on a match while it is ongoing, with odds that update in real time as the game progresses.
- Juice
- The commission or fee that a bookmaker charges for taking a bet, usually reflected in the odds.
- Lay
- To bet against a specific outcome happening, essentially acting as the bookmaker on a betting exchange.
- Market
- A category of betting options for a specific event, such as the winner, total goals, or individual player performances.
- Odds

- Over/Under
- A bet on whether the total number of goals (or points) in a match will be higher or lower than a set number.
- Parlay
- A single bet that links together two or more selections; all must win for the bet to pay out.
- Push
- A tie outcome in a bet where the bookmaker refunds the stake because the result exactly matched the line.
- Stake
- The amount of money you put on a bet.
- Value Bet
- A bet where the odds offered by the bookmaker are higher than the true probability of the outcome, giving an expected positive return.
- Wagering Requirement
